You'd think $20 million would buy Amy Winehouse some class. On the heels of grabbing the 10 spot on the Young Music Millionaires (aged 30 and under) list with her estimated net worth of £10 million, Winehouse will report to police regarding not one, but two alleged assaults near her Camden Town digs in north London on Wednesday night (April 23rd).
(Do I make you want to vomit?)
Winehouse supposedly got at it again, punching someone and overturning tables at a bar, generally not a good place to be seen at, much less seen at swinging fists, after a few stints in rehab. While throwing her fit Winehouse, according to the UK tabloid The Mail On Sunday, was screaming, "I am a legend, get these people out. I want to take drugs." The tabloid also caught Winehouse shooting pool in the bar with what appeared to be a joint in her hand.

On her way out of the said bar, Winehouse headbutted someone who hailed a cab for her and sacked another.
The bee-hive-less diva was reportedly enjoying the bender with Babyshambles guitarist Mick Whitnall, whose band's frontman is currently in prison. Not exactly the kinda crowd Winehouse should be hanging with considering her label threatening to not release another record.
The Grammy Award winning singer could be facing arrest and a possible six month jail sentence for assaulting the two men. On the plus side, she'd be in prison, like her husband.
In other news, George Harrison's son Dhani Harrison, 29, topped the Times Online Young Music Millionaires (aged 30 and under) list with £160m. Coldplay's Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion each clocked in at Number Three with a cool £30m aka $60 million, followed by Jack White (£25m/$50m) at Number Six, Katie Melua (£18m/$36m) at Number Seven and Joss Stone at Number Eight with £12m/$24m.

Shes a freakin mess. She needs to be locked up I think.
My Trusted MOGs
good riddance.

"what appeared to be a joint" talk about blowing stuff out of proportion. It's probably just a rollie. Loads of people roll their own cigarettes.
My Trusted MOGs
More like: "I am a bonehead!...I want to destroy my own career!" What a waste. Keep at it, Amy. There's always someone waiting in the wings to scoop up the accolades and money that you're pissing away. Legend? Legendary as a self-destructive loser.

Why not have a little fun with her? If she insists on taking drugs, then someone should switch her stash with some Narcan instead - let her take it and then watch her freak out!
My Trusted MOGs
BYAH: that is some evil stuff right there. how about just switching her stashes with candy...like the coke and smack gets switched with pixistick powder.
Ben: i couldn't agree with you more. all my pals from Europe roll their own cigs, fags, or whatever you want to call them...just threw that out there b/c it was written and wanted to hear your thoughts on that little rumor.

If Spears has showed anything it's that money can not buy you class.

I this had been Axl Rose, not one single tongue among you would be clicking, you self-righteous clods; you would be oohing and ahhing.
If Amy Winehouse likes taking drugs, that's her own damned business. If she's addicted to any, that's her own damned business. If they're affecting her looks, that's her own damned business (and if you're going to comment on it, at least make sure it's really witty, or you look like an oaf). Next thing you'll be dictating her diet and exercise regime.
And "I am a legend, get these people out. I want to take drugs."? Be still, my beating heart. It was journalistically tone deaf not to have put her words entirely in capitals, italicized "legend," and replaced both periods and the comma with at least three exclamation points each.
I AM A LEGEND!!! GET THESE PEOPLE OUT!!! I WANT TO TAKE DRUGS!!!
The Oracle of Delphi was on drugs, too, you know...

So the slow motion train wreck continues... What a waste of talent, what a waste. Nothing pretty about addiction, speaking as someone who tried real hard for a long time to trash my life. BerkeleyBob

Although she's not in the same class (there's that word again!), when I hear of Amy Winehouse's latest controlled substance escapade, "Billie Holiday" comes to mind.
My Trusted MOGs
on second thought she looks like the wicked witch of the west but without the green

zarpex: thanks for generalizing the entire internet. clap clap clap. you have no idea what anyone of us would have said if it were axl. but youre right, its not our business. people should leave here alone. unless she makes it our business, by breaking the law in public, going into bars and putting cigarettes out on her face, causing scenes, and negatively influencing an entire generation of innocent children. the oracle of delphi did go into a trance, but she wasnt decomposing in front of our eyes.

A legend in her own lunchtime and i personally think the only thing she is wasting is the media's time. If we all left her alone she might desist and become the tesco checkout girl we know is inside her(sorry if i offended any retail assistants out there)
My Trusted MOGs
i'm very concerned.
My Trusted MOGs
hehe, mog, the online music tabloid. i read a similar article in a different paper yesterday about the same incident. it's just embarrassing. i really think she needs locked up for a while.
any bets on how long it'll be til she shaves her head?
My Trusted MOGs
oh my just imagining amy with a shaved head makes me shiver.

Agree with Mike the Knife, PopeyePete & Sam The Artist.
It's quite refreshing to not read all this "tortured genius"/"OMG, she's so talented" type stuff you would normally come across when reading about Amy's drug taking. Not to say she's not got some good songs, but the media makes her out to be the only talented singer to ever walk the earth. Sometimes it feels like you can't say you're not actually a fan or that she doesn't do that much for you because everyone loves her and think she's great. (Again I do like a couple of her songs but...)
My Trusted MOGs
She's a female Sid Vicious on the road to ruin!!!
My Trusted MOGs
I like her music and think she's great.
Her drug problems are her own and I'm sorry to hear she's got issues, but the music is the music (to me).
Especially unfortunate for her is that she lives in the UK where the tabloid action is even crazier and more highly regarded by the locals than it is here in the U.S. (which is bad enough). A reader above says the media is making her out to be "the only talented singer to ever walk the earth..." ??? Wha... ?!
I guess I haven't read any of that media.
I don't live in a glass house, but I'm still not about to start throwing stones over a U.K. tabloid report about the way someone may or may not be spending their spare time. It's not like she's the first musician to have drug struggles. What's the big deal here?
She either burns out, fades away, or proves everybody wrong. Time will tell.
