The Dollyrots are an LA punk trio signed to Joan Jett’s Blackheart Records label. Fronted by bassist Kelly Ogden the band often tours with their pet rat Snoopy.
Their music has been heard on the TV show The Greek and KOHL's commercials, and they are a regulars on Warped Tour. The title track off their sophomore album Because I’m Awesome, which came out about a year ago, spoofs America Idol. Since this week kicks of the show's star-studded telethon Idol Gives Back, airing the Dollyrots' Because I'm Awesome video only seemed fitting.

I've seen the Dollyrots a few times around town. It was easy to see even four years ago that they were something special. This video, while fun, doesn't do them justice. They are fantastic.
