Posted over 2 years ago
T.I. is experiencing some déjà vu. His new album, T.I. vs. T.I.P. sold 468,000 over the last week to land at Number One mimicking the chart-topping debut of his last record, King.T.I., “Big Things Poppin’”T.I.’s reign pushes last week’s Number One, Miley Cyrus, daughter of Billy Ray and star of Disney’s Hannah Montana, to the Number Two spot. Her Hannah Montana 2 (Soundtrack)/Meet Miley Cyrus only sold 188,000 copies its second week out. Kelly Clarkson’s sophomore album My December slipped to Number Three selling 113,000 copies, while Bon Jovi’s Lost Highway drags at Number Four (94,000 copies sold).Velvet Revolver’s Libertad debuted at Number Five, selling 92,000 records. Their first album, 2004’s Contraband debuted at Number One, so Slash is probably pissed. Former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland took the Number Six spot with her sophomore album Ms. Kelly, beating her previous chart performance. Her first solo album Simply Deep only peaked at Number Twelve, so Ms. Kelly is psyched. Velvet Revolver, “She Builds Quick Machines”Brad Paisley’s fifth studio album 5th Gear dropped two spots to Number Seven (59,000 copies sold), while the exhausted Amy Winehouse came in at Number Eight this week. Her Back to Black sold 57,000 copies its 17th week out. Linkin Park’s Minutes to Midnight slid one spot to land at Number Nine.Brad Paisley, “Ticks“ live The White Stripes’ Icky Thump dropped to Number Ten, selling a meager 56,000 copies its second week out.
