Farm Aid Heads to Big Apple

Farm Aid is moving to New York City it was announced Monday. The event will take place at Randalls Island on September 9th. Farm Aid co-founders Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp made the announcement in NYC’s Union Square with mayor Michael Bloomberg. This year’s line-up will include both Nelson, Mellencamp as well as Neil Young and Dave Matthews.Since its inception in 1985 the organization has raised more than $30 million for farmers and the agriculture system. This will be the first-ever Farm Aid in New York City in the event’s 22-year run.
