Fiona Apple Hooks Up With Nickel Creek

Fiona Apple likes the fiddle, so much the pianist is hitting the road with Bluegrass-pop trio Nickel Creek on their "Farewell (For Now) Tour." Apple, who met the Grammy-winning band years ago in Los Angeles, has been collaborating occasionally at the city’s intimate Club Largo. In addition to solo material from both artists Apple and Nickel Creek will be expanding on their impromptu sessions. (Apple would sit in on Creek’s Sean and Sara Waktins' ‘anything goes' "Watkins Family Hour," and with either Creek’s mandolin player Chris Thile or the Watkins always returned the favor).
