Remember back in September of ’06 when Willie Nelson’s tour bus was pulled over somewhere in the inbred-lands of Louisiana? Well, state troopers found copious amounts of marijuana (We’re talking garbage bags full!) and those “special mushrooms” on board. Regardless Willie Nelson got off the hook for the weed charges. Last Tuesday, after pleading guilty to the misdemeanor drug charges, Willie and his tour manager each paid a $1024 fine and received six months of probation. 1G? Probation? Was the judge Nelson’s reefer-toking pal? I guess it just pays off to be cowboy. And now Nelson, fresh off his Sunday Coachella set can go on to worry about more important things like saving the planet with his BioDiesel, BioWillie.
