Eminem dished via email about his first new album Relapse, his first since 2004's Encore. Relapse will officially take the real Slim Shady out of hiatus.
"Me and Dre are back in the lab like the old days, man," Eminem says of working with his longtime producer. "Just him banging away on tracks and me getting that little spark that makes me write to it. I don't have chemistry like that with anyone else as far as producers go -- not even close. Dre will end up producing the majority of the tracks on Relapse.' We are up to our old mischievous ways ... let's just leave it at that."
On the topic of mischief, Em is still "really heated" about the leaks of several premature Relapse tracks last week. Among them "Number One":http://mog.com/blog_post/content/764/258654 and "Crack A Bottle."
"It wasn't close to finished," he told Billboard of "Crack A Bottle." "And it even has me doing guide vocals for Dre as a suggestion of how he could lay his verses down. It's like someone catches you peeping in your window before you got the Spider Man costume all zipped up! Nobody is supposed to see that. We are gonna finish it up though and get it out there how it's supposed to be."
The "Number One" leak seems pretty bland for Eminem. Remember the good ol' bashing days? Relapse will be out Spring '09. Dr. Dre's new album Detox was also pushed back to an '09 release date.

Not impressed -- but at least I'm paying attention.
Eminem involved with something called Relapse? Impossible! ;-)
Oh well... lol
Sorry to take the unpopular artist side, but it does suck that he can't even get a chance to practice making the track sound right...I just wish 'fans' would have a little more respect for the artist that way-let them at least complete their thoughts...
I find it funny that the titles of Em and Dre's upcoming albums are opposites (Detox and Relapse).
