WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Bruce Springsteen Offering Up Free Download Of "Working On A Dream" Today

Posted about 1 year ago

As Turkey Day draws near (some 67 million turkeys will be slaughtered this Thanksgiving and Christmas) you might be wondering what there is to be thankful for in this dwindeling economy. For one there's our new President-elect and the many loved ones around you, but Bruce Springsteen is giving you another reason. The Boss (who I hear hates being called the Boss) is offering, today only, his title-track "Working On A Dream" as a free download on iTunes and his Web site, BruceSpringsteen.net.

A few reasons why you should mosey on over to get the download: A) Springsteen's new album of the same name with the E Street Band doesn't come out till January 27th, 2009. B) Tomorrow you'll have to pay the usual $0.99 to download it off iTunes. And C) It will make you feel better during these tough times. Hey, it is called "Working On A Dream."

Where do you think this stands with Springsteen's newer music? Not as good as "The Rising."?

I picked it up this AM -- it is Ok -- and worth getting for free.

What I am more interested in is Mr. McCartney's Fireman release tomorrow.

the fireman should be good. i'm curious to hear this whole thing. seems to me this album was whipped up pretty fast. i hope that its not all refrain and not legit lyrics, which it seems this little number is.
