Ben Gibbard Vs. Scorpion

Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard is lucky that the scorpion that bit him in his "show pants" didn't aim any higher. Gibbard, put on a pair of pants before the band's San Diego show last week and was reportedly bit twice! by the nasty scorpion pictured above. Don't worry too much. All is well, and despite being a little shaken up, seems the scorpion bite made Gibbard stronger as the EMT's called on-site gave him the OK to perform afterall, and Gibbard took the stage with "scorpion power in his veins," according to DCFC's bassist Nick Harmer.
Harmer added,"I'm still not convinced that he is 100% fine because nobody eliminated the possibility that it was a radioactive scorpion and that Ben will now develop super powers, so I'm keeping a close eye on him just in case."

yeah. i think i would have fainted if i saw that crawling out of my pants. the question is how did it get there?
I know people who live in area's where they have them have to check their shoe's before putting them on. I hear they live in the hotter area's of the US.

I have an unusual theory as to why a scorpion was in Ben Gibbard's pants!
Scorpions (and serpents) are indicated as signs for the devil, demons, or as an evil omen.
Someone, somewhere was sending a message, or a warning of some kind regarding a bad occurance imminent.
This-in no way-is a reflection on Ben Gibbard, He was simply a conduit for a particular entity using him as s symbol to get a message thru-most likely to someone who lives in San Diego
I'm sure there was much relief that talented and wonderful Mr. Gibbard was okay after his run-in with the scorpion, and I hope that DCFC does not hold it against San Diego and it's many DCFC fans.
Ben Gibbard should feel a special kind of honor that someone regarded him highly enough to use him to convey such a dire message of warning, and I believe Ben Gibbard knows exactly what dearly departed Seattle entity that would be!
