Warren Haynes Presents The 20th Anniversary Christmas Jam

Posted about 1 year ago

Twenty years have flown by for Warren Haynes' annual Christmas Jam. To help celebrate the big 2-0 Haynes has extended the event into a two-day party for the first time ever. Taking place Friday, December 12th and Saturday, December 13th at the Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, NC some 17 acts have already singed up for the event, which donates proceeds to Habitat For Humanity. Among the headliners are Haynes' own Gov't Mule and the Allman Brothers with whom Haynes jams with on guitar, as well as the Del McCoury band.

With so many artists on the roster the music will start mid-day, and another first - the addition of the first Christmas Jam Comedy Show with Lewis Black.

Also changing things up will be Michael Franti who will perform an acoustic set, and others on the jam-tastic and rootsy line-up include Derek Trucks Band, Steve Earle, JJ Grey, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk and Col. Bruce Hampton and more.
