Van Morrison will be performing his 1968 album Astral Weeks in its entirty during a two night run at the famed Hollywood Bowl in California. The November 7th and 8th shows will also feature some original players from the classic album and will be taped for a future DVD dubbed Astral Weeks Live at the Hollywood Bowl. Tickets hit the streets on October 5th.

Sweet. That's his best album (IMHO). Is he still good live?
hes great live... his voice hasnt changed much (within reason)... lol just expect every song to have long solos so he can rest his voice... didnt bother me tho!
i saw him 2 years ago at ACL, in the pit! and the only complaint i had was, "wow, i wish he played more astral weeks!!" so you can only imagine how pumped i am about these shows. he'll do the classics like gloria nad brown eyed girl, and i was put off by the backing vocals. she did a great job but was rather over powering at times.
I just saw Van in concert at Massey Hall in Toronto this past July and it was an absolutely great concert.....Vans voice is still there but obviously much lower with his age...His back up singers do some of those high notes that he was so famous for in his youth, and it all fits well.
I am a life long fan of Van and I was blown away to finally see him live......he truly is a legend in our time. And the band was right on as well....all working in unison to make Van Magic!!!!!
I only wish I could make it down to Hollywood bowl for the upcoming concert.
