Flaming Lips "Christmas On Mars" Release Date & Limited Engagements

Just in time for the holiday season the Flaming Lips will finally release their years-in-the-making, Christmas baby-praising, experimental sci-fi film Christmas on Mars November 11th, according to the band's Web site. In addition to the DVD, which includes the usual extra jargon (interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and outtakes) a special edition CD soundtrack and DVD package will also be available.
This summer the film screened in a circus tent at various festivals and a new trailer was released providing a crystal clear synopsis of the flick.
Christmas on Mars continues its screening tour this fall, kicking off at the Nova 10 Cinemas in Des Moines, Iowa. New York's KGB Complex's Kraine Theater is even screening the film through the end of the year, if not the end of time says the Lips camp. San Antonio's Alamo Drafthouse will also screen though the end of '08, but that engagement doesn't start until October 19th.

I'll have to find out where the Kraine Theater is so that I can comment.
I'm looking forward to getting to see it. Do you know if the band is working on new music?
Hey, I just checked out the Kraine Theater website and I don't see Christmas On Mars there at all. Do you know when they are screening it?
