Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit Line-Up Announced

Posted about 1 year ago

What do ZZ Top, Death Cab for Cutie, Norah Jones, Cat Power, Wilco, Jack Johnson, Smashing Pumpkins and Josh Groban all have in common? They're not exactly playing LiveAid 2008, but they've been billed for Neil Young's 22nd Annual Bridge School Benefit. Death Cab and Wilco are no surprise really, since they're both touring with Young later this year.

The concerts will take place October 25th and 26th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. ZZ Top will perform on Saturday only, while Josh Groban and the Smashing Pumpkins will only play Sunday.

wow - this concert has been going on for such a long time !  i remember (and attended) the first one... that line-up couldn't be topped - petty AND springsteen.

i am hoping that some MOGGER with excellent descriptive skills can please tell me about Death Cab for Cutie.... since they're touring with Neil, i now want to know.

their name has put me off them since the beginning.... i mean... i'm a Beatles trivialist and all, but for some reason, that name rubbed me the wrong way and i've refused to listen to them.  thankee!

That's a pretty sweet line-up. I've been once and it was a really cool show.

I also heard Neil's band is playing both days too. He always comes out and jams with the bands too. When I went he came out with Phish and played an incredible helpless.

I fully support Neil's efforts for this school - and for all challenged kids everywhere.
