A Black Lips concert can get crazy. The band is banned from the famous Athens, GA venue, 40 Watt Club, after lighting their equipment on fire. I thought I even remembered hearing someone tell me that guitarist Cole Alexander strips nude and plays the guitar with his penis, usually leading to his arrest or security calling the show off early. That also happened last night during the band's London gig at the Heaven. Amid friendly stage invasions by fans who then dived back into the crowd, security pulled the plug on sound 30 minutes into the Atlanta flower-punk band's set. People booed. After the sound came back on all havoc broke loose as many bum-rushed the stage. It was at that point Alexander pulled down his pants and proceeded to play the guitar with his penis for about five minutes. In all, the band was able to play about a dozens songs.

I bet the Samuel Johnston observation about dogs walking on their hind legs is applicable here - it's not whether he can play well, but that he can play at all.

Interesting. Wonder if Hendrix could do that. He could play with pretty much anything else...
I watched that video twice now and see no evidence of anyone playing the guitar with that sausage-shaped apendage.
Looks like a wild scene there, however. ;-)
