Remember when Kanye West told the world he'd never do another MTV awards show? Sunday night West closed out the 2008 MTV Music Video awards by playing his new sexy and sultry single "Love Lockdown" supposedly off his forthcoming album titled Good Ass Job. The album continues in the theme of his previous three albums - the College Dropout, Late Registration, and Graduation. (What typically comes after graduation? A good ass job.) However, nothing has been confirmed yet. The clip can be watched here
Last week Billboard.com reported that West's fourth studio album might be out as soon as the end of this year, and anticipate the new single "Love Lockdown" hitting iTunes in the next few weeks.

I can definitely see myself listening to a polished version of this track more than a few times. I love how Kanye isn't afraid to break from what most hip hop heads would consider the "norm" even if his album releases are being delt out in a somewhat linear fashion. Despite all the hate, this man is just plain good (I'm sorry) for hip hop.
