WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Hurry! Watch New Music Video For Metallica's "The Day That Never Comes" Before It's Taken Down

Posted about 1 year ago

I'm guessing there's a good two hours until this thing gets taken down from YouTube... so enjoy it while it lasts. For those latecomers, Metallica playing and kicking up dust in the desert intertwines with politically-charged storyline. Soldiers are fighting in the Middle East, getting shot, then a car pulls up. The soldiers don't know whether to shoot the people in it, possible suicide bombers, or not. To see what the US trooper does you got to watch. At minute 4:40 this sing takes off and just become fist-pumping metal. (Already liking Death Magnetic's tunes WAY MORE than St. Anger's.)

I don't know yet...sounds like they're desperately trying to copy the success of "One". Still sounds better than the Loads and Anger, though...

I'll watch when I get home. I just picked up my $95 ticket so it better not be terrible, or they better not play it. I really hope they play a long set if they plan on playing new material, because I'm really not interested in hearing anything after black. I don't think I'm in the minority, and they must know, so I hope they keep it in mind when choosing a setlist.

Now don't get me wrong, I like Metallica.  I have every CD they have put out up to The Black Album.  I just feel that this song is too predictable, boring and stale.  There is nothing fresh or exciting about this song.  It doesn't seem that their new album will be what American Idiot was to Green Day.
