To be quite honest, I've only heard of like half of the 30+ bands that are on this new Cure tribute album that's coming out via Manimal Vinyl October 28th. Among the bands making it on Perfect as Cats: A Tribute To The Cure are The Dandy Warhols, the chick from Bat For Lashes, Kaki King and Wolfkin (Danish rockers including some playas from Junior Senior), but hey who doesn't like a good Cure cover? I figured Cure songs could sound pretty cool reworked by those weird obscure indie bands no one has heard of. Anyone looking forward to a certain track?

seems like a lot of french bands, where was this produced?
The only other band I've heard of is Xu Xu Fang...probably because one of them is a member of The Warlocks. Kinda mellow, psychadelic stuff....not bad.
Intrigued by the idea of Mariee Sioux covering "Love Song" - and anything new from the Dandys. But another tribute album? Can't these people write some more of their own original songs?
