Hold Steady Sketch From Late Show With Dave Letterman

Posted about 1 year ago

My buddy who works at Letterman warned me about the Hold Steady's sketch on the late show a few days back. Yesterday when all the blogs made the rounds reporting on the Andy Kindler funny spot I scoured YouTube but to no avail. Only the actual performance was up. Sometime last evening the YouTube gods delivered. Here is the Hold Steady at their finest (I'm liking the new single "Sequestered in Memphis".)

And I don't even know what "sequestered" means.

    the worldwide takeover begins!

One of the many things I love about this band is the way 36 year old Craig Finn transforms into a mad man/kid-in-a-candy-store on stage.  It's too good.

Dave and Andy - uncommonly cool for dorks. (Hell, you could say that about Craig and the band...)

Ok...next time through Denver, I'm catching the Hold Steady.

Should've done it long before now, though.
