ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus Suffering From Long Term Memory Loss

I can't remember things sometimes. Like if there is an "r" in the word surprise between the "u" and the "p" or what nights of the week are garbage nights. I would think that this form of "not remembering" would fall in the category of short term memory loss, but considering that I haven't been able to chisel these tiny rules of thumb into my brain for years -- and it seems I never will -- I think they fall into the long term memory loss category by now. However, ABBA guy Bjorn Ulvaeus' long term memory loss seems to be a lot more serious than my own.
Speaking with "The Daily Mail,":http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1035412/Abba-star-Bjorns-shock-admission-Im-battling-long-term-memory-loss.html Ulvaeus admitted he is "battling long term memory loss." Now I've heard of musicians battling hearing loss, but memory loss is a new dilemma. (could it be all the sex, drugs and rock and roll?) Ulvaeus, 58, has studied old photographs, video and has tried hypnosis to try and remember.
Ulvaeus says he can't even remember winning the Eurovision song contest in 1974 with one of Abba's best-known songs, "Waterloo." 'It is like I was not even there,' he admits. Ulvaeus is making headlines again with the big screen release this week of the Abba musical "Mamma Mia!, " which stars Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan.

Okay, I'll bite. For all the crap MOG loves to throw at ABBA, I have to admit I really like 'em. Own box sets and everything. So this makes me kind of sad, really. I hope this is something he's able to overcome.
I secretly like them too, this is rubbish news. I think it's time everyone on here comes out of the ABBA closet and we hand the cheesepop crown to the deserved owners.
here, here! . . . I think.
Secret ABBA fans?!? A pox upon you! Been an ABBA fan since the REALLY good singles started in about 1975 and could care less who wants to laugh at that. Their loss. Shout your love for them, I say.
I can sympathise with Bjorn, suffering similar lapses myself, though in his case it must be really downheartening - can't remember your first big international success? Bummer.
Just for the record, I never tried to keep it a secret! (Just, you know, never felt the need to mention it much . . .)
Because of this report, I hazard to guess that millions of people are very concerned and hope that Bjorn comes through this concern succesfully.
I've been a fan of ABBA since I was a little boy of 10 years old.
Every day, I thank ABBA "for the music"!
I was an ABBA fan in High School and 29 years later I am still proudly and ABBA fan. Their music is great to work out with, to drive with.
Pleasant time warp trip to high school days :)
