MGMT Don't Reveal Much About Their Next Album

I got a little excited when I saw the headlines "MGMT follow-up" and "MGMT Reveal Second Album Plans." I thought at least I'd get out of the stories a release date, title or cute little story about the creation of one of the songs on the band's follow-up to Oracular Spectacular.
It ended up being one of those crappy two quotes blown out of proportion things. No concrete info at all. But since I've noticed a major MGMT following in the Mog-o-sphere I figured I'd share.
The psych rockers aren't planning on heading into the studio before January since they'll be on the through December. Therefore the earliest you can start dancing up and down for MGMT's sophomore release will be an estimated summer 2009.
"We've been longing to get in the studio for a while," singer Andrew Van Wyngarden told BBC 6 Music in the first quote blown out of proportion, "because we got out of recording our last album about a year ago. So we're definitely ready to start working on some new stuff but I think in January we're gonna start recording and hopefully put an album out next summer."
"We work better when we sit down in a room and go for it, but we don't have much time to do that right now," Ben Goldwasser said of their recording style in the second quote blown out of major proportion.
So that's it? No word on if it will be as acid-tinged as the previous one, or include those electronic jams either. After this tidbit of information MGMT could go all singer-songwriter for all we know. Let's just hope not.

Have you heard the latest? Apparently singer Andrew Van Wyngarden also eats food! I know, crazy huh?
I want more info. Being cryptic is so last year.
