Patti Smith's Sundance Film festival Grand Jury "nominated documentary":http://mog.com/Mackenzie_P/blog_post/140601 will hit theaters this September. The film Patti Smith: Dream Of Life was filmed by acclaimed photographer Steven Sebring and traces Smith as a mother, poet, musician and artist.The film will screen early at New York City's at the Film Forum August 6th - 19th. In addition to the the film a companion book, also by director Sebring will be rleease in August. Archived photos of Smith, including never-before-published Polaroid's taken by Smith herself, alongside quotes will make up the pages of Patti Smith: Dream Of Life book.
