A little while ago MOG ran a story on the new Kurt Cobain converse. A cool concept considering the kicks were a trademark of the late rocker's look. But what we didn't see coming was Converse's homage to jam rockers the Grateful Dead. Coining them "renegades of sound," the shoe company has re-created their classic Chuck Taylor® All Star® high top baring Grateful Dead's iconic "steal your face" and dancing bear logos and Alton Kelley's and Stanley Mouse's Skull & Roses, Europe '72 album artwork and the Ice Cream Boy. The shoes will be available is all sorts of colors including "Brown Eyed Women" staple ... grenadine. I'm just surprised they're not coming out in hemp or made of recycled tires.
The kicks will be sold at Journey's and converse.com this fall as part of the continued celebration of Converse's centennial.

i'm sorry but i dont agree with contrabandwidth. i am an 18 year old female who has been listening to the dead all her life and i know many many people my age, and a lot younger, that still listen to the dead. the dead will live on forever and i think these will sell wonderfully.
