It seems the Cure are taking every precaution to unjinx the release of their 13th studio album. Fear of the number 13 is common news for airports and hotels, with gate 13 or floor 13 being omitted from many.
But the Cure are looking "triskaidekaphobia":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triskaidekaphobia in the eye and releasing four A & B side singles each month up, the first on May 13th, up until the the release of their as yet untitled thirteenth studio album on September 13th. That's a lot of 13s.

That's a lot of 13s. The May 13th single, 'The Only One,' includes the b-side 'NY Trip'. And for those quick folks out there, yup, you guessed it the second single will be out June 13th. Titled 'Freakshow' it includes the b-side 'All Kinds Of Stuff'.
The b-sides not will appear on the album. And more singles will be released on July 13th and August 13th. The Cure kick off their U.S. tour on May 9th at the Patriot Center in Washington DC.
