Billboard.com is reporting that the Mom and pop star is on the track to her 7th ever number one album debut on the Billboard Top 200. This past Tuesday Madonna released her eleventh album Hard Candy...the one she whored herself to major producers ranging from Timbaland to Pharrell Williams. The first day sales came to about 100,000 albums. If Madonna does indeed land her 7th number one debut, only Barbara Streisand stands in her way with eight. Madonna's other Number Ones include Like a Virgin, True Blue, Like a Prayer, Music, American Life and Confessions.

People also "reportedly slept in the street":http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/01/arts/music/01cnd-madonna.html?em&ex=1209787200&en=44350fdca9ef1e14&ei=5087%0A to get a free ticket to her pseudo intimate gig last night (April 30th) at Roseland Ballroom. Although Madonna only played a 32-minute set (weak if you ask me), fans went wild when on her 3rd song Justin Timberlake came out to sing her single "4 Minutes." Other songs of the might included "Music," "Hung Up," newbie "Give It 2 Me" and even a riff of the Rolling Stones’ “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”
