Scott Weiland Must Serve Eight Days In Jail By May 28th

Posted about 1 year ago
Scott Weiland has until May 28th to serve an eight day jail sentence for driving under the influence back in 2007. Weiland, however, is scheduled to kick off the highly publicized Stone Temple Pilots reunion tour on May 17th in Columbus, Ohio, leaving him less than three weeks to serve the sentence. This will most likely cut down on rehearsal time for the band.A judge sentenced Weiland, who entered a no contest plea, to 192 hours in Los Angeles county jail for the misdemeanor drunken-driving arrest, the frontman's second ever. (Cops caught him on November 21st on a San Fernando Valley freeway off-ramp.) In addition to his time behind bars, Weiland will be fined $2,000 and will have to complete an 18-month alcohol programme. He will remain on probation for four years.Let's just hope he isn't driving the Stone Temple Pilots tour bus this summer. Back in 2001 Weiland was also arrested for buying crack cocaine. (Just thought I'd throw that in there to add some color to the story). Will he ever learn?
