Bush's Gavin Rossdale Will Release First Ever Solo Album This June, Hear A Preview

Posted about 1 year ago
Former Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale will make girls swoon again with the release of his first solo album ever, Wanderlust. After parting ways in 2002 with his UK post-grunge effort, Rossdale took some time off from music and showed up in movies (Constantine, Little Black Book, and The Game of Their Lives, marring and knocking up (twice) Gwen Stefani and even starting a new band Institute. The band only release one album 2005's Distort Yourself, which hit Number 81 on the Billboard chart after selling a disappointing 54,00 copies.Wanderlust is out June 3rd and even includes Stefani adding vocals for the track "Some Days."Rossdale signed on a slew of familiar faces for the effort. Former Devo, A Perfect Circle and NIN drummer Josh Freese appears on the album, as do Bush guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Paul Bushnell and keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac (session player for Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, Backstreet Boys). Here's a little Wanderlust preview, which will make Chris Cornell shake in his pants. (Seems all those acting jobs paid off.):So, what do you think? Can Rossdale make a comeback? Anyone excited about this?

  2. Charley Rogulewski says Me too. I think he will get heavy radio play from the sounds of it. You know, I've always liked Rossdale. He seems like a nice guy. I hope it works out for him. Unlike Ryan Phillipe, he's been handling his wife's fame really well in the public eye, and this make me want the best for him.

  7. NicoleCassidy says I loved Bush, but that was more when I was a kid/teenager. There's still albums I enjoy from them and songs, specifically sixteen stone. I had a massive crush on him then too, haha. But yeah, he seems like a good dude, and I really hope something good will come out of his solo efforts.
