Posted about 1 year ago
The Raconteurs' Consolers of the Lonely (country twang slipping in and out of Who-esque rock tracks) has been spinning nonstop on my iTunes. Today news that the band have extended their spring/summer tour, which is kicking off on 4/20 in Vancouver. The US tour culminates with a performance at Bonnaroo on June 13th, after which the band heads to Europe for the remainder of the summer. The Raconteurs will be supported by the Black Lips, The Fiery Furnaces and Birds Of Avalon. Keep up with tour updates on the band's "MySpace page.":http://www.myspace.com/theraconteursRaconteurs tour dates:20 April : Commodore Ballroom Vancouver, British Columbia21 April : Neumo’s Seattle, Washington22 April : Wonder Ballroom Portland, Oregon23 April : Bimbo’s 365 Club San Francisco, California25 April : Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival Indio, California26 April : The Joint Las Vegas, Nevada28 April : The Fillmore Auditorium Denver, Colorado29 April : Uptown Theatre Kansas City, Missouri1 May : House of Blues Dallas, Texas2 May : Stubb’s BBQ Austin, Texas3 May : Stubb’s BBQ Austin, Texas4 May : New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival New Orleans, Louisiana27 May : 930 Club Washington DC, Washington DC28 May : 930 Club Washington DC, Washington DC30 May : Terminal 5 New York, New York3 June : Bank of America Pavilion Boston, Massachusetts4 June : Metropolis Montreal, Quebec5 June : Ricoh Coliseum Toronto, Ontario7 June : The Fillmore Detroit, Michigan9 June : LC Amphitheater Columbus, Ohio10 June : National City Pavilion Cincinnati, OH, Ohio12 June : Pageant St. Louis, Missouri13 June : Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival Manchester, Tennessee26 June : Hove Festival Arendal, Norway4 July : Heineken Opener Festival Gdynia, Poland12 July : T in The Park Kinross, Scotland13 July : Oxegen Festival Naas, Ireland

  3. sonical says B-- Go see them. Period. I'm bummed I can't see them easily this tour. I'm at Jazzfest when they are at Coachella and then missing them in New Orleans the next weekend. I guess I can always celebrate the 4th of July in Poland.

  4. Charley Rogulewski says Sonical: You can stay with my family out there (big drinkers, hope you'll be able to keep up.)

  5. anna log says i'm bummed because they're my neighbors in nashville and i rarely see them because they work all the time and so do i... although i did see jack lawrence at the black lips show last week. i guess if i spent more time in nashville, i'd see em more. if you like the raconteurs.... i implore you to check out the greenhornes... patrick keeler & jack lawrence (the world's best rhythm section) play as the greenhornes with singer craig fox. they're like a garage rock version of cream with a touch of hendrix --- but heavy on the garage brendan benson's no slouch in the solo dept. either. well, jack white... he's a genius. and he pumps his own gas.

  7. sonical says Charley: is that a challenge? I'm a pretty good drinker and a huge fan of sausage. Anna: a good friend saw Greenhorns in Portland a couple years back and freaked. He also said they were a lot like Cream. But the touch of Hendrix could throw me over the top. Hopefully they get go out on the road again soon.
