Jack Johnson Launches Eco-Friendly Social Network, Summer Tour

Jack Johnson has one heck of a busy summer ahead of him. The pro-surfer turned film director turned rocker is headlining a bunch a music festivals, like Coachella, All Points West and Bonnaroo to name a few. Johnson will also hit amphitheaters this summer beginning June 13th in Noblesville, IN (formerly Deer Creek).
The tour is in support of Johnson's new album, Sleep Through The Static, currently Number One on Billboard's Top 200 chart. The eco-friendly Johnson is also giving fans a chance to save the planet when purchasing tickets. To offset the carbon footprint of driving or flying to one of Johnson's shows, an extra $.50 opt-in at the time of online ticket purchase will be available. Proceeds from the $.50 donation will go to the ALL AT ONCE Carbon Management Portfolio, created especially for the tour by MusicMatters and a team of climate scientists to address the two largest contributors to global warming: burning fossil fuel and deforestation.Also launching this week is www.AllAtOnce.org, Johnson's new online social action network that brings non-profits and fans together to create change. Current posts on the network include topics such as composts, solar energy.What's next for Johnson? A Nobel Peace Prize?
