Foo Fighters are suing Marvel comics, the people behind Spider-man, the Hulk and Fantastic four, over copyright infringement. Marvel comics reportedly used two Foo tracks - "Best Of You" and "Free Me" - in a trailer for their new animated TV series
Wolverine and the X-Men. The problem? The Foos did NOT give the series the permission to do so.

The series went into pre-production mode in 2007 and is to air later this year. A synopsis of the series found on the Cyber Group Animation homepage reads:
When an explosive event shatters the lives of the X-Men and takes away their mentor, the beaten heroes walk away from it all.But then they're given a rare glimpse into the future, and see a world in utter ruin, ruled by giant destructive robots. A world that spiraled out of control because the X-Men had given up.So now the most legendary of all X-Men takes the lead - Wolverine! Reuniting these broken heroes, Wolverine embarks on the ultimate mission - to prevent the world's destruction. To rescue us from ourselves. To save the future. The Foos are seeking unspecified damages for the "substantial excerpts" in a lawsuit that name checks the series' producers First Serve International, Toonz Animation India and First Serve Toonz. The trailer caught the Foos label's attention after being put on YouTube, where it has since been cut.Source: Rolling Stone
