Stereogum frontman Nick Urata described the "Transliterator" track as "the classic case of two lovers waltzing their way around the truth, which is right in the center of the room -- but it is the hardest place to get to.""Throughout the song he (the narrator) is trying to make her see how bright the future is. He is trying to put the intangible -- the unspeakable beauty of life -- into words. And fails. He must alliterate that which can not be articulated and translate the truth buried in the language of the liar."After touring Europe this spring, DeVotchKa will play Coachella on April 26th in Indio, California.DeVotchKa tour dates:Apr 4 Manchester, United Kingdom Academy 2 Apr 5 Dublin, Ireland Crawdaddy Apr 6 Glasgow, Scotland King Tuts Wah Wah Hut Apr 7 Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom Academy 2, Newcastle Apr 8 Birmingham, United Kingdom Academy 2, Birmingham Apr 9 London, United Kingdom Scala Apr 11 Rotterdam, Holland Rotown Apr 12 Amsterdam, Holland Melkweg Apr 13 Paris, France Cafe de la Danse Apr 14 Zurich, Switzerland Abart Music Club Apr 16 Copenhagen, Denmark Vega Apr 17 Berlin, Germany Tacheles Apr 18 Koln, Germany Underground Apr 19 Brussels, Belgium Ancienne Belgique Apr 20 Nijmegen, Holland Doornroosje Apr 26 Coachella, Indio, CA Empire Polo Field
