New Pornographers, Okkervil River Team Up for April Tour

This spring indie heavyweights Okkervil River and the New Pornographers will be heading out on tour...together. The band's and their enigmatic frontmen will kick off the tour April 9th in Toronto, Ontario and trek across North America through April 22nd. But, let's just say you gush hard for Okkervil River's Will Sheff. Then you're in luck because the Austin, Texas rockers will be warming up their fretboards with Joni Mitchell and John Cale cover songs on a pre-tour to the one scheduled with AC Newman and Co. But you have to live in Europe or Australia to get the best of that. The New Pornographers will also play a solo shows for their fellow Canadians in Mississauga, Ontario on March 8th. As for festivals this summer, the Pornos have only announced that they'll be gracing the stage at the Benicassim Festival in Benicassim, Spain on July 17th. (We hear that one rocks!).
