Nina Simone's daughter "Simone Simone":http://www.simonesworld.com/ (yes, that's really her name) will release her first solo album dubbed Simone On Simone on April 29th. The album is a big band tribute to her mother, who passed away in 2003 at the age of 70. For Simone on Simone, Simone Simone reworked eleven of her mothers songs. “I Hold No Grudge” and “Don’t You Pay Them No Mind,” both from Nina Simone’s 1966 album High Priestess Of Soul make the album, and other classics from her mother's repertoire include “Feeling Good,” a new take on “Black Is The Color Of My True Love’s Hair,” “Work Song,” “(You’ll) Go To Hell” and “Love Me Or Leave Me” and Duke Ellington’s “Gal From Joe’s.” Simone Simone also adds an original with "How Long Must I Wander,” a song about traveling across the globe with her mother.
