Rosanne Cash Recovering From Brain Surgery

Posted about 1 year ago
Rosanne Cash is recovering at her New York home following a successful brain surgery that cut her most recent tour short.Cash, 52, the eldest daughter of the late country legend Johnny Cash, was diagnosed with Type 1 Chiari malformation, a benign and rare structural defect found in the region where the brain and the spinal cord join. If untreated one experiences headaches, especially at the base of the skull, dizziness, double vision, weakness in the arms, etc. Cash is expected to make a full recovery and has been doing well since her operation two weeks ago at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She plans to hit the recording studio in early 2008 and tour thereafter in the spring. Cash will also finish work on a book, expected for publication in 2009. Cash's last album 2006's Black Cadillac received critical acclaim and dealt with the loss of her mother, father and step-father - who all died with in two years of each other.
