Led Zeppelin Triumphantly Return

Posted over 4 years ago
What's the closest I got to hearing Led Zeppelin's 2 hour plus live performance at London's O2 arena last night - via cell phone. When my pal in attendance called any static seemed to dissolve and the jamming on "Dazed and Confused" that I could hear through his BlackBerry made me only think to myself, "Damn, they are tearing it up and jamming. I should be there." The reviews flooding Web sites this morning only confirmed my "Dazed and Confused"-driven initial thoughts.Led Zeppelin's 16 song set, a part of the Ahmet Ertegun tribute concert, included classics ranging from "Ramble On," "Black Dog" and "Kashmir." Jimmy Page pulled out his double headed guitar for "Stairway To Heaven" that reportedly set the crowd into fits and drew lighters that made the O2 Arena look ablaze. To say the least those in attendance, which also included rockers Mick Jagger, James Taylor, Steve Winwood, Dave Grohl, were not disappointed. Fans now are demanding a tour. 4. Jonh Ingham says Page's manager wrote to Bob Lefsetz and was adamant that nothing further is booked or planned. But since they enjoyed it so much they may decide to do something more. He was also adamant about the fact that they would not be doing it for money - these guys do nothing for money. (Which is nice to know that at their wealth they're not driven by greed, unlike so many of their peers.) Hope they say yes!

  5. Jonh Ingham says That Zoso site is freaky. Are they actors or musicians? While listening to very passable "Zeppelin" I had to wonder what it's like, as a musician, to submerge yourself totally into being another guy. Do they have other bands, I wonder. Where they can be themselves.
