Retrial For Phil Spector Expected In Late '08

After a jury failed to reach a verdict following 12 days of deliberation, the murder case against legendary music producer Phil Spector was declared a mistrial. Spector was accused of murdering aspiring actress Lana Clarkson in Los Angeles mansion in 2003.
Spector lost most of his legal team following the verdict, with the exception of Christopher Plourd. Plourd is now the main reason behind why the retrial won't start till September 2008 - he has two other death sentence cases to deal with first. The judge in the case, judge Larry Fidler has set May 22nd, 2008 as the date to determine when a retrial will take place, while he will check on Spector's lawyers' work load on March 7th, 2008.Source: BBC News
