The countdown to Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown is well underway. Only 36 days or some 876 hours (yes, I am a fan!) Last night, the punk rock trio played a secret show at San Francisco's Independent, with tickets only going for $20 a pop. Billed as "Band Practice" the band played more than 30 songs (2 page setlist!) that lasted 2+ hours to a crowd of roughly 500 fans. Here's some short videos from the epic evening and a copy of the set list thanks to SPIN.

Tidbits of 21st Century Breakdown tracks:
"Peace Maker"
"Last Of The American Girls"
"East Jesus"
American Idiot tracks:
"Jesus Of Subrurbia"
"I Dont Care"
Dookie track
"Longview"

I have always liked Green Day although I consider them to be a bit of a punk sell out. Thanks for your post.
ive been hearing the sell out thing a lot
stoked on this. cant wait for 21st century breakdown to finally come out. ive been listening to green day since i was 8 i am now 23 and there still my favorite band...
I'm so sick of the phrase 'sell out' ... it's so overused and ridiculous.
I <3 Green Day and always will. And I also love just about every other group that has been tagged as a sell out and I'm proud of it! :D
haha Cinful. seriously. i hear you. i mean selling out means making paymets for musicians. can't hold it against them.
