Here's a looksie back to some all-time favorite moments with the Gossip since the Portland, OR three-piece blast through our iPods with their catchy breakthrough title-track "Standing In The Way Of Control." Oh 2006, you are nothing but a memory now.
Starting things off is the disco-friendly video for "Listen Up," also off the 2006 album.
Then there is the naked "Kiss My Ass" Beth Ditto NME cover, pasted atop the magazine's June 2nd, 2007 issue.

Followed up by this one for LOVE magazine in 2009:

And a personal favorite? This dance-punk-tastic video for "Don't Make Waves" that some renegade made from still shots on YouTube:
There was, of course a tour with Cyndi Lauper, a live album/DVD and several stunts in between, but nothing more makes me want to strip like Beth Ditto than the band's new album news.
Music for Men is out June 22nd. The Gossip hooked up with MOG board member Rick Rubin for their first studio effort since 2006's Standing In The Way Of Control. No stranger to the Grammy award Rubin also worked on the trio's most recent live release - the double-whammy CD/DVD Live In Liverpool.
Expect a tour from the Gossip along with the June release of Music for Men. The lead single "Heavy Cross" drops June 15th.

been seeing a lot of press on this girl as of late, even in the latest issue of MacCleans. Not sure if I am really digging the sound though
I love the album title. Watching Beth at Glastonbury stripping down to her pantyhose was a bit scary, but she looks great in those photos - Making lesbians everywhere lust and pant, ha ha. The photoshoot inside Love is really spectacular too.
yeah jonh. i hear ya. there is something sexy about the way she is so unabashed.
Great sound naked or dressed.Cant wait to hear what the soundmeister Rubin can achieve
haha... i like the "she sounds good naked or dressed" bit. i'm using it!
Great to see a large and lovely woman putting it out there, so to speak.
I didn't see that much in the first single to get me interested but I think the combination of Rick Rubin/The Gossip is quite an intriguing one so I'll probably listen to the album when it's out.
