39th Bumbershoot Gonna Draw In The Crowds With Sheryl Crow & Modest Mouse

Bumbershoot's line-up is interesting to say the least. Sheryl Crow, Modest Mouse and Katy Perry are at the top of the bill thus far bringing together quite an eclectic audience -- Sheryl Crow the older AC crowd, Modest Mouse the mainstream meets indie, and Katy Perry, basically everyone under the age of 15. And all those people in between? Not to worry. This is only an "early look" into the line-up according to the Bumbershoot people.
Now in its 39th year, the fest will take place over Labor Day weekend, September 5th-7th in its usual Seattle Center digs. And the $80 three day pass price tag is pretty much unbeatable. Comes out to $26.67 a day. (OK OK, Pitchfork Music Festival beats it by $5.)
Others on the bill include Michael Franti & Spearhead, De La Soul, Raphael Saadiq, Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan, the Long Winters, Sly & Robbie & the Taxi Gang, World Party, MSTRKRFT, Roy Ayers, Common Market, UH HUH HER, Dave Alvin and the Guilty Women, Eric Hutchinson, No Age, Matt & Kim, Dead Confederate, the Cave Singers, Swollen Members, Vieux Farka Touré, Lenka, Gang Gang Dance, Todd Snider, Holy F**k, DJ Spooky, Iglu & Hartly, Low vs Diamond, Sera Cahoone, Eleni Mandell, Carrie Rodriguez, the Honey Brothers, Natalie Portman's Shaved Head, Extra Golden, Cordero, Forgive Durden, Hey Marseilles, Adrian Xavier.

sigh ... I haven't seen Sheryl Crow perform in probably 10 years. I'd LOVE to see her again! :)
