Oh that Rivers Cuomo is always up to something when he's not feeding his mind with Vipassana meditations. This time its a new six-track EP and a 12- track DVD, both follow-ups to the rarities and demo releases Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo albums I and II.
The story of the CD starts back during the transition period of November '08. While America was celebrating a new president-elect, Cuomo was setting up shop in a Long Beach, California record store known as Fingerprints (others have held in-stores there too - the Hold Steady, Rilo Kiley, etc). Cuomo wasn't alone. He recruited a slew of fans, 150 to be exact, to pick the setlist and some to play with him, all of which wound up as the material on the new six-track Live at Fingerprints EP. Here's some of the footage from that November 25th, 2008 afternoon:
Cuomo added six more tracks to the DVD making it an even baker's dozen, including a video for "My Brain Is Working Overtime," a pre-show warm-up interview, and an interview with actor Jason Schwartzman. Random.

i like his choo-choo train overalls look, haha.
i wonder what the inspiration was... a play on the word conductor?
based on the track listing I think this one is going to be a lot better than his first solo release.........which stank
like moldy cheese?
Fun!
Wow this freaking rules. More weezer, this will be the 3rd release in less than a year.

Weezer certainly has been very prolific, and Rivers has assumed a so much more public profile!
The buzz I am hearing is that Weezer will be touring this summer with none OTHER THAN the newly reformed BLINK 182! What a combination made in heaven!
I personally CAN'T wait. There is NO SUCH THING as too much Weezer!
