Looking for that perfect gift this holiday season? Then head over to the White Stripes' Web site for some Official White Stripes tartan fabric, and scarves. But if that doesn't tickle your fancy than perhaps an official White Stripes kilt will do. Seems the red and white duo have been keeping busy while on hiatus. In addition to stocking up their official Web store, Jack and Meg have completed shooting the video for their third single off Icky Thump, "Conquest." The Spanish flavored shoot was held in Artesia, California with director Diane Martel and had Jackie boy training with famed bull fighter Dennis Borba. "The video follows an explosive - if unconventional - love story that pits man against bull in the ultimate conquest," according to the band's Web site. It also "brings the song's Spanish themes, frantic horns and compulsive pounding rhythm to life." Ole!
Along with the video, "Conquest will also be released as a single. This single isn't just any single. It comes in three different color packages, each with their own exclusive BRAND NEW track. Jack and Meg produced the tracks with fellow musician Beck and also contributed on two of the tracks. Beck plays piano and sings on "It's My Fault For Being Famous," and plays slide guitar "Honey, We Can't Afford To Look This Cheap." The other new track is "Crash Grab Complications On The Matter."And if that isn't enough, each of the singles comes with trading cars featuring some old school matadors.Look out for 7" "Conquest" vinyls on December 18th in the US and December 31st in the UK. The new video debuts on MTV November 26th and on iTunes beginning November 27th.
