A Stone Roses Reunion Would Rule

UK paper the Mirror is reporting that the Stone Roses will reunite this summer for 21 countrywide gigs. Nothing has been confirmed but a source alleges that they might even show up at this year's Coachella last minute.
Split in 1996 following feuds between frontman Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire, the reunion would back the 20th anniversary of the band's self-titled, 1989 debut. However, some things don't add up.
First, the fact that Squire and Brown have reportedly not spoken to each other in decades. Second, Brown, whose last album The World Is Yours peaked at Number Four in the UK, is finishing up its follow-up. Third, according to NME, Squire has a huge art exhibition in the works this summer at a gallery in Oldham and doesn't play guitar that much anymore.
Back to that Mirror story - a source admitted, "It's taken a lot of time to get Ian to agree but he's finally signed on the dotted line. "The rest of the band were really up for it, especially when they realised the amount of money on the table."
The band's bassist Mani, now the bassist for Primal Scream, reportedly is into it too.
Here's a clip from an '89 show of "I Am The Resurrection."

Wishing I lived in the UK now.
i meannnn......
Would be awesome to see, but it's one of those reunions that I won't buy into it until I know it's a sure thing.
Hey you beat me to the posting..saw the news here earlier. We saw them in at "the Majestic" ,old cinema venue In Reading, around 1988(?) That was about their biggest gig at that point! They had just moved out of the Pub and University venues...i remember seeing "Stone Roses" written in chalk for next week at a venue we were playing.
I would like to hear more of their stuff, it put's me in a good place.
the guys know how to jam. i love the long jam interludes, guitars that get all spacey and the drums part behind them are just perfect
I was totally into the Madchester scene the first time around...so I'm 100% in for a reunion...if it's legit.
