Reissues. I can't say I wait for these things to come out, even if I have the original. I mean there's a reason you fall in love with the original, right? But there are audiophiles who love the suckers so they'll probably be psyched about these beefed-up Radiohead reissues out on March 24th - Pablo Honey, The Bends and OK Computer. Radiohead is probably not though as these suckers are coming out via EMI/Capitol.
The last time I checked, the band was trying to skip the label and release albums all by their lonesome selves. Does the name your own price extravaganza of October '07 ring any bells? That was a good time.
Call it just a plain reissue that's being re-mastered, and I'm all what's the point? But the Radiohead ones boast a second CD accompanying the original that includes rarities, demos, sessions and live recordings. And then there's the DVD of promo music videos. Now you are getting my attention here.
I wouldn't call myself a Radiohead nut. It's not like I rearrange Radiohead's albums in the order I like them on long walks on the beach: (from favorite to least favorite) The Bends, In Rainbows, OK Computer, Pablo Honey, Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail To The Thief.

Personally, I'm waiting for the Kid A and Amnesiac reissues. Those b-sides are some of the best Radiohead has ever recorded.
After releasing a box set in 2007 this really doesnt sound like radioheads ethics. If I had bought the box set and this all arrived just over a year later I would feel at least slightly miffed.I downloaded In Rainbows and didnt pay. I went out and bought the album on cd as soon as it came out.I thought it showed a confidence in their music and a respect for their fans . This doesnt . Im sure the demos etc do have a place in the scheme of things radiohead but the release of this leaves much to be desired in purely financial terms IMHO.
