Me? I'd pay jack. But, some punk forked over $37,500 during these no-one-should-really-be-throwing-money-away-like-that recession-friendly times for a bushy nude photo of a 20-year-old Madonna. The purchase, made by a European buyer, is believed to be the most anyone has ever paid for a photo of the pop queen, beating out the $15,000 paid in 2006 for Herb Ritt's original and somewhat iconic True Blue album cover artwork.

One of six black and white snapshots from a 1979 photo shoot, the $37,500 snapshot was expected to fetch between $10,000-$15,000 at the Christie's auction it sold at Thursday. The fact it appeared in a 1985 issue of Playboy potentially added value to the sale. The other five photos from the mix sold for only $7,170 back in 2003.
Madonna, a dancer trying to make ends meet at the time, allegedly was paid as little as $25 for her posing. In another auction Thursday, the Madonna photo below, this one taken by photographer Helmut Newton, sold for $18,750.

Already in Playboy.
And isn't there a sex book with her nude?
Dude's a moron.
I would pay not to see it actually... :-)
I think she was saving up for a Brazilian in those days...
What Zen Raven said^^. :)
I saw a photo of it, or one of them, on a blog, and the blogger accurately summed it up by saying it looked like she was giving birth to a bear.
lol @ birth to a bear
I like the high-res and zoom features.
If you want to face your fears, zoom in on that with the lights off, reflect it off the mirror in your bathroom, turn on a spooky Hollyween sounds tape, say "Candyman" 5 times, and hold on to what's left of your soul
sad thing is I am pretty sure the guy who bought it was Guy Richie
Did you see RocknRolla? Don't think he could afford it!
Rawk... it didn't even occur to me.
Wobble...haven't seen it ...yet?
Don't bother... Richie's off his game now. Should've left it at Snatch and Lock Stock.
Uh-oh, I clicked on the link and saw the photo. Since I paid zilch, I can't ask for my money back. Somehow I'm picturing that bush extending halfway up her back. It just keeps going, like an obscene Energizer Bunny.
Rawkiddoh?
That dodgy geezah Guy Ritchie? LEAVE IT OUT! He'd never pay more than a monkey for that load of old pony etcetcetcetc
(for those of you in the USA, Guy Ritchie went to an expensive English private school, had his first film rewritten by Anthony Shaffer of "Equus" fame, who was a friend of his pater's, then made his money by pretending to be a Cockney villain from the East End - aye, and Dick van Dyke was a chimney sweep)
But he's shooting Downey as Sherlock Holmes....could be OK if he can keep a storyline together and not do all that looke-at-me-I'm-creative shit that was OK in Lock Stock and very boring by whatever horrible film of his I had the misfortune of watching on telly awhile ago - th eone with Jason Stratham.
As for the prices on those Madonna photos...sad when you think real photographers like Larttigue, Bresson, Bailey and Terry O'Neil don't get that kind of money. Is this the pink pound in action?
She would have to give me one years income!
$50,000!
Wait, *I* would have to pay? I mis-read... nevermind.
Scotch, maybe I am wrong, she would have to give far more than that, add a few more 0's.
