Neil Young Added To Jazz Fest '09 Line-Up

Posted over 3 years ago

This blows the boots off the news two weeks ago that Bon Jovi has been added to an already diverse Jazz Fest '09 line-up. Nothing against Bon Jovi, but Neil Young and his guitars will now close out the two-part fest on Sunday, May 3rd.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage festival, celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, kicks off April 24th and runs three days before picking up again April 30th. Others on the bill ranging from current rock acts to country to signature NOLA musicians include Wynton Marsalis, Dave Matthews Band, James Taylor, Sugarland, Joe Cocker, Spoon, Drive-By Truckers and Booker T., Etta James & the Roots Band, Jakob Dylan, Buddy Guy, Ben Harper & Relentless7, Tony Bennett, Earth, Wind & Fire, Kings of Leon, Neville Brothers, Wilco, Bonnie Raitt, Allen Toussaint, The O'Jays, Erykah Badu, Dr. John and more.

Discount weekend tickets are available through February 18th and start at $40 per single day. Discounted adult ticket packages for the first weekend are going for $35 per day x 3 tickets ($105) and $140 for the final four days.
