The Rolling Stones lead the pack of highest-earning entertainers, with a pocket full of $88 million in income between June 2006 and June 2007, according to Forbes. The US money/business magazine credits the large earnings from the band's successful A Bigger Band world-tour, which grossed $437 million. The Rolling Stones ability to cross-over and have huge followings in other countries also helped. Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z came in second place with earnings that tallied at $88 million, while Material Mom Madonna followed at third with an income of $72 million. The full top 10 music earners between June 2006-June 2007:1. 1. dermahrk says Thank God the Stones top that list of musicians I pretty much hate. Ok, not Elton John. BTW, if that British pound before his figure is accurate, at today's exchange rates he would be top earner.
