The Pipettes Coming To North America

They are perhaps the band with the biggest buzz around them. The Pipettes combine Phil Spector doo-wop with a modern twist and are bringing their sound to the US and Canada for a month-long tour. The jaunt kicks off on October 2nd at Chicago's Park West venue and will promote the North American release of the trio's debut We Are The Pipettes. The UK-based girl group includes RiotBecki (Rebecca Stephens), Rosay (Rose Dougal) and Gwenno (Gwenno Saunders). A male back-up band known as The Cassettes tags along compromised of guitarist Monster Bobby (Bobby Barry), bassist Jon Cassette (Jon Falcone), keyboardist Seb Cassette (Seb Falcone) and drummer Jason Cassette (Jason Adelina). The Pipettes last toured the US in March on a mini-tour in support of their EP, Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me.
