"Snoop Dogg's Hood Of Horrors" Coming To DVD

Just in time for the Halloween holiday, Snoop Dogg's Hood Of Horrors loosely inspired by the Tales from the Crypt comic book and TV series, will be coming to DVD on September 11th. In the three-part mock-horror series the rapper plays the "Crib Keeper" and narrates how the urban nightmare spins into the realm of the supernatural and the bizarre. Snoop also makes a leap for an Oscar with his portrayal of Devin, "a slain gangster forced to atone for his misdeeds by ushering his fellow sinners to their infernal 'rewards,' accompanied by his posse of scantily-clad sucubi." Watch out DiCaprio. Official trailer...The DVD is also packed with extras like "Inside Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horror," the 'making of' which shows how the make-up crew conjured the ghastly "40-ouncer-through-the-head" look. Other featurettes include a look at how the visual effects and anime sequences were created. Snoop's video "Welcome to the Hood" and footage of the film's Los Angeles premiere also make the set.
