MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

Well I'm off again MOGgers. Tomorrow at quarter to 9AM I get my tonsils taken out. But let's not dwell on that! I have a topic to talk about.

ABBEY ROAD. Masterpiece. My absolute favourite of all Beatle's albums. I have had it on a very worn vinyl for many years, but finally a few weeks ago I got a nice clean CD copy.

It never ceases to amaze me. Compared with many of the other albums, even Sgt. Pepper's, Abbey Road just fits together so well. And it's such a huge influence on the modern album. All of the Beatle's music has very clearly influenced our world, but the structure of Abbey Road is so much like a standard good album nowadays. The way all the songs change into one another is very obviously shown in such albums as Dark Side of the Moon, or Digital Ash in a Digital Urn, or The Soft Bulletin, three of my favourite albums. Even something like Hot Fuss or Louder Now has touches of this. Now I may be wrong, but I think Abbey Road would have to be one of the first albums that did this. It's not so obvious on the A-side, but once you get into Because it just flows from there into a giant anthem of tracks. It's one of those things I'd just love to see live.

I can't give you my favourite track because it's a progression of about 7 tracks, although I must say it would either be Polythene Pam or You Never Give Me Your Money. Instead I shall give you something I use for good luck in all walks of life, especially surgery!

and here's some pictures that have describe me currently to view while listening to this, possibly my favourite song ever.

Eva the puppy.

The sunset through my blinds.

The silhouette of the vines in the dining room.

JD in the bath. I shall be watching Scrubs extensively at the moment.

My shadow and geese.

My cat on some washing looking very uncomfortable.

I didn't think people still had their tonsils taken out I thought that was so last generation, but never the less enjoy you're time on the couch, dont get too pampered.

I myself was just pondering whether I liked Rubber Soul or Revolver better, I choose not to decide.
