      To cover my bases: Yes, Sam Cooke is great. This song is great. And Night Beat is capital-F Fantastic. But what really makes me want to spray my brains right now is the arrangement/instrumentation.       I was pretty slow to catch on to Daytrotter...but but now I have and it's amazing. Bands just drop by their studio and basically record a little live mini-set, no overdubs, and it all sounds amazing! (Whoever's engineering this stuff knows his shit.) Also it's all free!       This is the kind of song that makes you feel good about feeling bad. That idiot's glee that hits you 'round beer #3 when you're at home watching Sports Center on a Saturday night.The entire album it's from (1996's Massachusetts) is pretty damn spot on, too.
