I saw an amazing show last night. Crooked Cow Boy and The Fresh Water Indians played an amazing set of Spagetti Western Music. Layered, strong, and comprehensive with sampling, female vocalist, moog, upright and electric base, acoustic guitar, and percussion at times creating a wall of noise that would be broken down by simple, yet brillainat base lines. I always describe his (there is one person who kind of directs all this) sound as if the Bauhaus went western. I wished I could have rode a horse down the streets of down town last night.

unfortinite hero's is great!
This is one song I will never get tired of. Fucken amazing. I love when musicians get all neurotic and make numerous songs about their ex's. God, Chocolate and Cheese. And I love when musicians incorporate food into the lyrics, song name, or album title. Like Cibo Matto's first album or Shonen Knife. Or Beck's reference to Zancou Chicken in Deborah. (That is probably the best and only song about Glendale, CA) Who can sing a song about a Pork Roll, Egg and Cheese? Ween: Two brilliant men, a bunch of head cleaner, and a 4 track recorder is currently bringing tears to my eyes. The Pod and Choclate and Cheese back to back is causing me to become a geeeeeeeeeek. I'm just having one of those moments caused by Baby Bitch.

Chocolate and Cheese is a great album. Baby Bitch and What Deaner Was Talking About are just incredible. All my favorite Ween songs (except for Dr. Rock) are on this album. Thanks for reminding me!
I don't think there has ever been a band that makes me more happy than ween!! Instant good mood music!
I have to work all day at the Summer Strummer Festival (Indie (ha ha) 103.1. I'm not hating, ok maybe I am, If I have to be subjected to a festival than I will make my fantasy festival and thank god I really don't have to book thid. Imagine the legal crap and management issues...(Yes I'm a geek and I finally have free computer time, which is extremely rare) This will be one of those all day three stage events Yes, I'm putting in a lot of local bands from LA and St Louis but they're just as good as the known bands
Stage One:
16 Bitch Pile Up Bobby Conn Peaches Mr Quintron and Ms. Pussy Cat Firey Furnaces Johanna Newsom Coco Rosie Ween
Main Stage:

Here's my version: http://mog.com/Kate/blog_post/4378 Nice that you put Dev with Nick Cave. I would die of happiness if I could see DeVotchka/Dungen/TV on the Radio at the same show!
